Base Salary

$70k - $126k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Participate in test planning, strategy, design, execution, software engineering processes, and product quality recommendations.
  • Develop automated scripts in Linux using scripting or compiled languages.
  • Develop software test infrastructures and frameworks and perform integration, manual, and formal qualification testing.
  • Review, edit, and generate engineering and testing documentation according to industry standards.
  • Support software fielding, maintenance, and multiple products developed by small agile teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, or an equivalent technical degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA, or a relevant master’s degree.
  • At least 2 years of relevant technical experience unless qualifying through the relevant master’s degree alternative.
  • Recent software development or software test scripting experience with C++, Python, or Java.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing tools and techniques, test methods, procedures, configuration management, and software quality engineering concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Linux and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Preferred experience includes automated UI testing, compliance with MIL-STD-882E or DISA STIGs, agentic AI coding tools, and working across multiple software teams.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville–North Alabama, Alabama area.

  • Pay range of $69,550.00 to $125,725.00 per year.
