Responsibilities
- Estimate development effort to support roadmap planning and expectation management.
- Design and implement resilient, scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant backend architectures.
- Develop and maintain features across the Network API, xSIM Management System, and Recording Platforms.
- Implement incremental enhancements and maintain existing systems for reliability and efficiency.
- Write unit, integration, and other tests to support regression prevention and feature validation.
- Implement monitoring, observability procedures, and platform metrics.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Own end-to-end feature delivery, technical outcomes, and functional system flows.
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
- Collaborate with the team and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional backend development experience, preferably with Go; strong Java experience with willingness to learn Go is also accepted.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with concurrency, asynchronous workflows, inter-process communication, and synchronization.
- Experience designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience writing unit tests, integration tests, and benchmarks.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and distributed communication patterns such as gRPC, WebSockets, and TCP/UDP.
- Experience building scalable microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices and design patterns.
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with Git workflows, pull requests, code reviews, and agile methodologies.
- Strong ownership of technical outcomes and end-to-end feature delivery.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include idiomatic Go development, Go profiling with pprof and trace, event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ, Kubernetes deployment and maintenance, cloud-native development on AWS, GCP, Azure, or Oracle Cloud, Prometheus and Grafana, and MSML or SIP experience.
