Base Salary
$235k - $264k/yr
Responsibilities
- Map Vapi’s release architecture and identify major CI, testing, deployment, and infrastructure failure modes.
- Own the release-tooling roadmap and operating health across build, test, and deployment systems.
- Remove CI and deployment bottlenecks and automate slow or failure-prone workflows.
- Improve observability, diagnosis, validation time, deployment speed, and release reliability.
- Establish self-service release workflows, safety guardrails, and a longer-term release-infrastructure strategy.
- Partner with product and infrastructure engineers to drive measurable cross-team improvements.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ownership of critical CI/CD or release infrastructure at meaningful scale and measurable cross-team impact.
- Strong distributed-systems fundamentals and the ability to diagnose failures across build, test, deployment, and infrastructure layers.
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes-based delivery systems and infrastructure-as-code tooling such as Argo CD, Terraform, and Atlantis or comparable systems.
- Experience automating repetitive work, investing in testing and passive defenses, and using data to improve system speed or reliability.
- Strong curiosity, context-gathering, communication, ownership, and collaborative judgment.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools is expected; SRE experience, multi-agent workflow development, and experience with TypeScript and Go are preferred.
