Responsibilities
- Analyze existing OpenShift cluster deployments, technical limitations, and customer needs.
- Design, build, test, install, configure, and troubleshoot solutions for OpenShift clusters and applications.
- Create Ansible automation content to integrate OpenShift clusters and supporting infrastructure with CANES network, identity, and PKI services.
- Establish processes and tooling to maintain cluster health over time.
- Identify technology patterns and propose system improvements.
- Author technical documentation, technical drawings, and support documentation for engineers and end users.
- Perform risk assessments and propose solutions to reduce risk and address operational pain points.
- Guide junior engineers and provide technical leadership and mentorship.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience with Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES).
- At least five years of experience in IT systems design, development, integration, and support.
- At least two years of experience with Enterprise Linux, including RHEL, Rocky, or CentOS.
- At least two years of experience with Ansible Automation Platform.
- Demonstrated technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and solution implementation experience.
- Ability to work autonomously and think through technical problems independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling during installation activities.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. government Secret security clearance are required.
