Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust software solutions that accelerate research workflows and improve data analysis.
- Lead technical decisions for key projects and ensure scalable, maintainable architectures.
- Build and maintain microservice architectures and APIs using cloud technologies.
- Establish technical standards and drive adoption of engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with other teams to optimize workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture, hiring, and talent development.
- Take ownership of technical decisions, project outcomes, deadlines, quality standards, performance, and efficiency.
- Participate in the design, development, and testing of critical components.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with one or more major cloud providers, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
- Proficiency in React or a similar framework.
- Experience with microservice architectures, API design, cloud security best practices, CI/CD practices, and DevOps principles.
- Experience working with multiple teams and driving alignment and results.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in an innovative, fast-paced environment.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is a plus.
