Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust software solutions that accelerate research workflows and improve data analysis.
- Lead technical decision-making for key projects and ensure scalable, maintainable architectures.
- Develop and maintain JavaScript/Node.js and React applications, APIs, and microservice architectures.
- Apply cloud security best practices, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD practices, and DevOps principles.
- Mentor junior engineers, establish technical standards, and promote engineering best practices.
- Collaborate across teams to optimize workflows, remove bottlenecks, and drive alignment.
- Lead technical initiatives and contribute to engineering culture, hiring, and talent development.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with one or more major cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar tools.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js, plus React or a similar framework.
- Experience building and maintaining microservice architectures and designing APIs.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, CI/CD practices, and DevOps principles.
- Strong cross-team collaboration, problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, initiative, and learning skills.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience, is a plus.
- Fluent written and verbal English communication.
