Responsibilities
- Design and build robust, scalable end-to-end web platforms in TypeScript, including APIs, services, data access layers, and UI.
- Architect durable workflows and background processes using Restate or similar workflow orchestration systems.
- Build reliable data pipelines between the data warehouse, databases, and products.
- Model and visualize large datasets using appropriate aggregations, pre-computations, and storage strategies.
- Render large volumes of geospatial data on fast, interactive web maps.
- Contribute to product and engineering roadmaps, make architectural decisions, and own the performance, monitoring, and reliability of shipped systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience building SaaS products or data-heavy platforms.
- High proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and modern web frameworks such as React and Next.js.
- Strong experience with Postgres and data warehouses such as BigQuery or Snowflake.
- Solid understanding of analytics data modeling and visualization of large datasets.
- Privacy-aware experience handling sensitive data through aggregation and anonymization.
- Ability to work autonomously across frontend and backend systems.
- Experience with workflow orchestration and long-running processes such as Restate or Temporal is preferred.
- Expertise in map rendering and geospatial visualization with tools such as Mapbox GL, MapLibre, or deck.gl is preferred.
- WebGL or GPU rendering experience is preferred.
- Experience collaborating across backend and data teams in a polyglot stack is preferred.
- Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Bazel, GCP, and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Demonstrated passion and experience building and shipping high-quality products.
