Responsibilities
- Drive technical design decisions, code reviews, mentoring, and software development best practices.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Jakarta Servlet, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
- Design, develop, and enhance user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Build and integrate APIs connecting frontend and backend components.
- Modernize legacy applications by migrating libraries and frameworks to supported versions.
- Implement secure coding practices and comply with enterprise and industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software, maintain system stability, and support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant software development experience, with the posting also describing a typical range of 3 to 5 years.
- Proficiency in Java, Jakarta EE Servlet API, Spring Framework, React.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience developing scalable enterprise applications and services, including frontend optimization, asynchronous data handling, API integration, and form validation.
- Knowledge of React fundamentals, Hooks, state management, component lifecycle, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design.
- Familiarity with Jackson, Apache POI, Log4j2, Hibernate Validator, HikariCP, file upload handling, version control systems, testing frameworks, and modern development tools.
- Strong understanding of secure coding, authentication mechanisms such as JWT and OAuth, and application security standards.
- A university degree in Computer Science, Banking, or equivalent working experience is preferred; 15 years of full-time education is specified.
- Financial services or banking technology experience and Spring Boot or legacy-to-modern framework migration experience are preferred.
