Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create highly reliable software systems that control thousands of satellites in low Earth orbit.
- Own software through requirements definition, prototyping, development, testing, on-orbit rollout, and production maintenance.
- Develop Linux-based C++ software for common processors and microcontrollers.
- Develop embedded cryptography applications for satellites and ground equipment.
- Build high-performance networks, automated ground systems, command-and-control software, simulations, and cross-environment testing tools.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and end customers to deliver satellite capabilities, products, and data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Development experience in C, C++, or Rust.
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
- Knowledge of computer architecture, networks, debugging, and software testing.
- Production experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes is preferred.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB is preferred.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when needed.
- Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

- Base salary ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 annually depending on level.
