Base Salary
$150k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the agent layer, including context systems, self-learning, evaluations, agent harnesses, and meta-harnesses.
- Build a knowledge base that captures undocumented-system information and improves future integrations.
- Develop workflows that autonomously detect production failures, diagnose causes, and recover from them.
- Define how agents are built, measured, and improved across the platform.
- Create tools and processes that help teams build, evaluate, and evolve agents quickly.
- Help grow the team and take on increasing leadership of agentic systems.
Requirements
- Two to nine years of professional software engineering experience.
- A completed or in-progress degree in engineering, computer science, or a quantitative field.
- Recent experience building and shipping agentic software in production, ideally in an early-stage startup.
- Strong experience with context engineering, evaluation-driven iteration, agent tracing, and production agent harnesses.
- Experience building systems that learn from accumulated knowledge or autonomously detect, diagnose, and recover from failures.
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Effect-TS, PostgreSQL, large language models, and agent evaluation tools.

- Annual salary range of $150,000 to $300,000 USD.

- On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week.
- US-based candidates with a concrete relocation plan to San Francisco may also be considered.
