Base Salary

$115k - $280k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop intelligent systems using LLMs, generative AI, heuristics, and evaluation infrastructure to streamline bookkeeping and financial workflows.
  • Build and scale an AI assistant supporting critical bookkeeping workflows and Ambrook’s AI CFO vision.
  • Improve evaluation pipelines, harnesses, shared memory, durability, and other foundational AI infrastructure.
  • Implement document extraction and financial transaction tagging using heuristic and model-based approaches.
  • Build internal tooling for prompt iteration, embedding search, labeling, and retraining.
  • Collaborate with operations, product, design, and engineering to identify customer problems and deliver reliable, intuitive AI features.
  • Contribute to AI strategy, including task automation, confidence measurement, and decisions about human involvement.
  • Teach best practices in ML system design, evaluation, prompt engineering, and scalable AI infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Experience building and shipping ML- or AI-driven features to production.
  • Interest in applying language models to messy, unstructured real-world datasets and turning them into product experiences.
  • Pragmatic judgment about when to use LLMs, regular expressions, or user input.
  • Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, or fine-tuning.
  • Ability to work experimentally in a rapidly evolving AI environment.
