Responsibilities
- Operate and support AWS cloud-native application environments, including Amazon EKS and Kubernetes workloads.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, namespaces, configuration, secrets, health checks, autoscaling, and resource limits.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines covering validation, testing, security scanning, image creation, deployment, promotion, and rollback.
- Manage Docker images and Amazon ECR container registries, including lifecycle management and vulnerability remediation.
- Automate infrastructure and application configuration with Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or comparable tools.
- Implement observability through logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerting, health indicators, and operational telemetry.
- Manage IAM, service identities, secrets, certificates, network controls, and least-privilege access.
- Coordinate upgrades, patching, certificate and secret rotation, vulnerability remediation, and security-scan resolution.
- Lead incident response, service restoration, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and reliability improvements.
- Define and test backup, restore, disaster-recovery, high-availability, and rollback procedures.
- Support integrations among cloud applications, databases, enterprise data platforms, APIs, and approved AI services.
- Diagnose production issues across React applications, backend services, APIs, databases, and distributed cloud components.
- Maintain architecture documentation, deployment procedures, runbooks, operational standards, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Support production releases, hyper care, and a global release or production-support rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent.
- 5–9 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or comparable CI/CD tooling.
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Helm, or equivalent infrastructure and Kubernetes configuration tools.
- Understanding of IAM, service identities, role-based access, secrets, certificates, networking, and least-privilege controls.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
- Ability to automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or a similar scripting language.
- Working knowledge of Linux, DNS, TLS, load balancing, networking, and cloud-native troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience with AWS services, PostgreSQL/RDS, Databricks, MLflow, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, React, Python/FastAPI, Node.js, REST APIs, resilience testing, cloud cost optimization, AI-enabled services, and regulated enterprise environments.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
