Responsibilities
- Design and develop new features and improve existing functionality for the Inside Business Portal.
- Perform code reviews, write unit tests, refactor code, and address technical debt.
- Discuss and align technical solutions directly with stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively in an agile environment and contribute to strategic deliveries.
- Provide hands-on support when investigating production issues and outages.
- Improve application resilience through security, quality gates, monitoring, and alerting.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industry experience in IT development.
- Highly proficient server-side Java development skills.
- Experience with Spring Boot and Spring modules such as Web, Data, and Security, or another dependency injection framework.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Experience working with Oracle databases, SQL, and relational modeling.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools, Confluence, Checkmarx, and ServiceNow.
- Experience or affinity with IT security concepts and the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience building services from scratch and developing on existing components.
- Understanding of Continuous Delivery concepts and experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and Maven.
- Experience using Linux as a deployment environment.
- Knowledge of messaging technologies and protocols, software performance optimization, or additional development technologies is desirable.
- Ability to work with Java and Python and communicate in advanced spoken and written English.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in an IT-related field.
