Base Salary
$230k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Terraform and Atlantis infrastructure-as-code execution platform and its plan, review, and apply workflows.
- Design and operate AWS multi-account, organizational hierarchy, provisioning, IAM, permission, and access structures.
- Own the cloud networking foundation, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, DNS, and related connectivity patterns.
- Drive AWS governance through tagging standards, compliance guardrails, cost visibility, and accountability.
- Implement least-privilege access and compliance automation while enabling self-service provisioning.
- Define the new team’s scope, priorities, service boundaries, and operating model.
- Maintain documentation, reliability, observability, and on-call coverage for owned systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, cloud platform, cloud security engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Deep experience managing AWS at scale, including multi-account organizations, IAM, permission boundaries, SCPs, and resource organization.
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, and automated plan/apply workflows.
- Solid cloud networking fundamentals covering VPC design, transit and hybrid connectivity, DNS, and edge/CDN configuration.
- Ability to write automation and tooling in Go and/or Python and operate infrastructure platforms as products.
- Experience building scalable self-service platforms, clarifying ownership, and operating systems beyond launch.
- Preferred: experience with agentic infrastructure or governance workflows, SOC 2 or ISO 27001 controls, cloud cost management, FinOps, or Azure, GCP, or OCI.
- Ability to use, review, verify, and own output from AI tools.
