Base Salary
$150k - $189k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Wealthfront’s native Android application.
- Develop new investment account and cash account functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product partners to define and deliver Android features.
- Design, build, and test reusable REST APIs with frontend and backend engineers.
- Build high-quality, maintainable infrastructure and make appropriate risk and long-term maintainability tradeoffs.
- Write automated tests and create testable code without relying on manual testing.
- Use Android SDK performance tools and optimization techniques.
- Operate production systems, automate toil, and improve observability.
- Work independently, complete tasks on schedule, and solve problems effectively.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to peers.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of professional Android development experience.
- Proficiency with Java or Kotlin.
- Experience writing unit tests and testable code.
- Knowledge of Android SDK performance tools and optimization techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
