Responsibilities
- Design and build source-grounded AI workflows and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines with hybrid retrieval, metadata filtering, reranking, citations, and traceability.
- Implement explainability, provenance, evidence mapping, confidence signaling, unsupported-answer handling, and citation-aware user experiences.
- Develop multimodal document intelligence workflows for PDFs, scanned documents, tables, diagrams, images, and technical figures.
- Create human-in-the-loop review and approval systems and feedback loops that improve prompts, retrieval, evaluations, and fine-tuning datasets.
- Build revision-aware content intelligence for source versioning, comparison, stale artifact detection, and downstream impact analysis.
- Develop secure, enterprise-grade, multi-tenant Azure-native applications with governance, auditability, role-based access control, and enterprise identity integration.
- Design and maintain evaluation frameworks for LLM applications, including retrieval relevance, groundedness, hallucination detection, and regression testing.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, customer engagement, Agile collaboration, and stakeholder risk escalation.
- Mentor junior team members and support the development of internal technical competencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a directly related equivalent qualification.
- Typically eight or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience with Python and source-grounded AI applications, including citation, provenance, explainability, OCR, and layout extraction.
- Experience designing human feedback loops and review workflows for AI systems.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and metadata-rich schema design for AI applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, enterprise RBAC, secure multi-tenant application design, and hybrid retrieval architectures.
- Familiarity with Azure AI Search or equivalent platforms.
- Preferred experience includes multimodal LLMs, fine-tuning, preference optimization, citation-aware interfaces, evidence panels, AI observability, LLM safety engineering, refusal design, confidence calibration, Recall@K, citation accuracy, and AI-oriented CI/CD pipelines.
