Responsibilities
- Design performance test strategies, plans, scripts, workloads, and test data for enterprise applications.
- Execute load, stress, spike, and endurance testing to assess scalability, reliability, and stability.
- Analyze test results, server metrics, database performance, bottlenecks, root causes, failures, and system constraints.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.
- Monitor applications and systems using APM and observability tools including Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, and Grafana.
- Define performance benchmarks and verify application compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
- Recommend performance tuning and optimization across application and infrastructure layers.
- Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous performance validation.
- Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and insights to stakeholders.
- Analyze database performance using SQL/PLSQL and evaluate CPU, memory, thread, and database metrics.
- Support responsible AI usage, data governance, secure model-output handling, and performance and observability practices for AI workloads.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in performance testing and performance engineering.
- Hands-on experience with JMeter and performance test design, execution, and workload modeling.
- Experience creating and preparing test data for performance scenarios.
- Experience with Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana, or similar monitoring and observability tools.
- Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, REST APIs, microservices architecture, and Java microservices.
- Experience analyzing server metrics and database performance.
- Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Understanding of system testing, regression testing, and end-to-end validation.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and JIRA.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, LLM-based features, or automation tools.
- Preferred experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred knowledge of Java, Python, or JavaScript, and experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to shift-left performance testing, performance-tool certifications, and cross-functional agile collaboration is preferred.
- Experience with AI APIs such as OpenAI, Azure AI, or AWS Bedrock is a plus.
