Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage approximately five DevSecOps engineers while providing technical direction and remaining hands-on.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable, and compliant AWS GovCloud environments.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, and Terraform.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Deploy and manage Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS, ECS, and Fargate.
- Implement security baselines, STIGs, automated security scanning, and compliance controls for federal cybersecurity frameworks.
- Develop Python, Bash, and PowerShell automation for deployment and security enforcement.
- Implement monitoring, logging, compliance reporting, production incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call support.
Requirements
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- Security+ and AWS Certified Security certifications.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in DevSecOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience with AWS GovCloud, AWS security configurations, federal cybersecurity frameworks, and compliance.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and Fargate.
- Understanding of AWS IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, AWS KMS, AWS WAF, AWS Config, and AWS Secrets Manager.
- Experience with RMF, NIST 800-171/53, STIGs, Zero Trust, automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, and SBOM management.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and security enforcement.
