Base Salary
$135k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build automation and tooling that eliminates manual operations work.
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows in daily engineering work.
- Own provisioning, deployment, scaling, decommissioning, and the broader platform lifecycle across Kubernetes, cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Troubleshoot full-stack production issues spanning databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
- Manage database and infrastructure hygiene, including cloning, migrations, decommissioning, and orphan cleanup.
- Participate in on-call rotations and own production escalations end to end.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in SRE, software development, or platform engineering with hands-on coding.
- Ability to independently build, review, and ship production code.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding and agentic tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot, or willingness to learn them.
- Demonstrated Kubernetes experience including deployments, Helm, GitOps, and canary or blue/green releases.
- Cloud platform experience with AWS or OCI.
- Understanding of system architecture including databases, message queues, load balancing, auto-scaling, caching, and API layers.
- Experience with incident and change management in customer-facing production environments.
- Scripting or development experience with Python and Go.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Preferred experience leading cross-team technical initiatives and applying security fundamentals such as secrets management and SSL/certificate lifecycle management.
