Responsibilities

  • Develop cloud-native integrations using AWS API Gateway, Lambda with Python, EventBridge, Step Functions, and other serverless components.
  • Design secure and scalable REST, event-driven, asynchronous messaging, and partner connectivity patterns on AWS.
  • Provision and automate integration resources using CloudFormation, Terraform, and related infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Refactor and migrate IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise integrations to AWS while supporting existing workloads.
  • Build secure connectivity with internal applications and third-party services using REST, SOAP, SFTP, MQ, and AWS security controls.
  • Implement mTLS, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, WAF rules, and AWS threat-protection features.
  • Maintain cloud and on-premises integration platforms through patching, upgrades, monitoring, and performance optimization.
  • Manage certificate lifecycles, including CSRs, imports, renewals, and automated deployment with AWS Certificate Manager.
  • Automate CI/CD pipelines for integration code, infrastructure templates, and IBM configuration bundles or BAR files.
  • Troubleshoot AWS and IBM integration issues using logs, traces, CloudWatch metrics, and application monitoring tools.
  • Document API specifications, integration patterns, migration approaches, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in integration development, cloud engineering, or IT operations supporting mission-critical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, and serverless integration patterns.
  • Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or AWS CDK.
  • Strong Python development skills for Lambda functions, automation tooling, and AWS integration logic.
  • Experience assessing, refactoring, and migrating IBM DataPower and IBM App Connect Enterprise workloads to AWS.
  • Working knowledge of IBM DataPower MPGW, XML Firewall, and API Gateway, plus ACE message flows, ESQL, and JavaCompute.
  • Understanding of secure integration patterns including mTLS, OAuth/JWT, rate limiting, schema validation, and threat protection.
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD automation using GitHub.
  • Experience with ServiceNow, including Major Incident Management and inbound/outbound integrations.
  • Understanding of incident, problem, and change management under ITIL frameworks.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, application design, requirements analysis, integration, and system testing skills.
