Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering productivity, effectiveness, and high-impact technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Architect enterprise-scale CI/CD systems for embedded, simulation, and cloud workloads.
- Define branching, release, quality-gate, and engineering standards across multiple domains.
- Design GitOps-based delivery for multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
- Lead progressive delivery strategies with automated rollback and analysis.
- Establish Terraform-based IaC architecture using production-grade modules and multi-environment patterns.
- Integrate security and compliance into pipelines and artifact flows.
- Define observability standards for pipelines, simulation workloads, and runtime systems.
- Mentor DevOps and simulation developers and coach technical teams across the organization.
- Connect cross-team initiatives, resolve complex problems, and drive measurable improvements in engineering effectiveness, release confidence, and product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software development.
- Deep understanding of software architecture for real-time systems and experience shipping high-quality safety-critical products.
- Deep Kubernetes knowledge, including cluster operations.
- Strong Terraform and IaC experience with production-grade module design.
- Experience with embedded or simulation workflows, including vECUs, SIL, FMU, or SSP.
- Cloud architecture experience across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, communication, coaching, mentoring, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
- Preferred: master's or advanced degree in software engineering or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 15+ years of software development experience.
- Preferred: experience in automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, embedded, real-time, regulated, or safety-critical environments.
- Preferred: knowledge of functional safety, ISO 26262, cybersecurity engineering, ASPICE, MISRA, AUTOSAR, or related engineering practices.
- Preferred: experience with vehicle-level integration and validation using SIL, CoSIM, vECU, HIL, benches, physical systems, or other virtual and hardware-based environments.
- Preferred: experience creating enterprise standards, platform strategies, technical communities, developer self-service, reliability objectives, or measurable productivity improvements.
