Responsibilities
- Lead software development for Radio Frequency emitter products and solutions.
- Design, develop, test, troubleshoot, debug, integrate, and deploy software programs and software-intensive systems.
- Use modern C++ within an Agile Scrum development team.
- Participate in software project-level testing strategy and coordinate with testing teams.
- Participate in on-site customer integration efforts and test events.
- Conduct software reviews to support quality and defect-free software.
- Mentor junior software engineers through coaching, advice, and formal training.
- Lead a software development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science with at least 10 years of work-related experience, master's degree in engineering or computer science with 8 years of work-related experience, Ph.D. in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong background in software engineering research, design, development, debugging, integration, testing, and deployment.
- Experience leading a software development team.
- Strong understanding of Linux and significant RedHat experience desired.
- Understanding of parallelism, concurrency, or threading in a distributed environment.
- Working knowledge of build systems such as Make and CMake.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and conflict-resolution ability.
- Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain one; U.S. citizenship and Secret-level clearance with Top Secret eligibility are required.
- At least 8 years of modern C++ development experience is desired.
- Experience with small-scale distributed systems, latency restrictions, Atlassian, GitLab, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cybersecurity principles, STIG processes, Risk Management Frameworks, range interfaces, and network architecture is desired.
