Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright, Java, and Python.
- Build scalable automation frameworks using Page Object Model, hybrid, and data-driven approaches.
- Write reusable, clean, modular, and maintainable code and participate in peer code reviews.
- Execute automated test suites in continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Develop and maintain API tests with Postman and/or REST Assured for REST and SOAP services, including JSON and XML payload validation.
- Analyze test failures, debug issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams on resolution.
- Support Jenkins jobs, Git branching and merge workflows, and related automation integrations.
- Evaluate tools and practices that improve automation reliability, maintainability, and delivery efficiency.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience developing UI automation with Playwright, Python, and Java.
- Strong software development skills in object-oriented programming, data structures, exception handling, and reusable component design.
- Experience with TestNG, Cucumber, behavior-driven development, and maintainable automation framework design.
- Working knowledge of the software development life cycle and automated quality assurance practices.
- Hands-on API automation experience with Postman and/or REST Assured, including REST or SOAP services, payloads, and status-code validation.
- Experience with Jenkins, Git branching and merge workflows, and JavaScript for automation or integration tasks.
- Strong debugging, analytical, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro, GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, or other generative AI assistants.
- Preferred: experience using AI-powered tools for automation script development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and code reviews.
