Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize high-performance libraries, modules, and products from incubation through production.
  • Write, test, and debug efficient modern C++ code for complex software solutions.
  • Work with product managers and customers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to build automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines as needed.
  • Integrate software with customer platforms and technologies alongside forward deployment teams.
  • Build, test, and deploy software for defence and autonomy applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing performant modern C++, or strong willingness to learn C++.
  • Strong procedural and object-oriented programming experience using clean code principles and sound object-oriented design patterns and principles.
  • Experience developing in Docker and containerized development environments.
  • Experience using Linux-based operating systems.
  • Ability to hold UK Security Clearance, with current or previous clearance preferred.
  • General willingness to travel for company business between offices and to customer sites.
  • Preferred experience with distributed systems, simulation technology, and autonomy.
  • Preferred experience with Bazel, Nix, and similar technologies.
  • Preferred experience deploying to and working with infrastructure technologies.
  • Preferred experience on projects related to national security for government agencies.
  • Strong communication, motivation, curiosity, thoughtful judgment, and a low-ego working style are preferred.
