Responsibilities
- Architect and develop advanced video streaming applications for iOS Mobile and Apple TV platforms.
- Write clean, modular, and maintainable Swift code and optimize application performance.
- Lead the design and implementation of complex features and conduct code reviews.
- Implement and optimize HLS, DASH, and DRM video streaming technologies.
- Integrate and customize AVFoundation and third-party video players.
- Troubleshoot playback, buffering, and content delivery issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend teams, and QA to deliver features.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support release planning, deployment cycles, and critical deadline issue resolution.
Requirements
- Experienced iOS Principal Engineer with a strong technical background.
- Deep understanding of iOS frameworks and exceptional coding skills.
- Hands-on experience building high-performance video streaming applications.
- Expertise with video streaming technologies including HLS, DASH, and DRM.
- Experience with AVFoundation and third-party video players.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and collaborate cross-functionally.
