Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and run AWS infrastructure from networking and edge services through multi-account cell architecture and the EKS platform.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, upgrades, and consistency using infrastructure as code and GitOps.
- Build self-service platform capabilities in collaboration with product and feature teams.
- Maintain platform reliability, security, cost efficiency, observability, autoscaling, and compliance.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and design new capabilities for scale, resilience, and emerging workloads.
Requirements
- Typically five or more years of experience as a Platform, DevOps, Software, or Site Reliability Engineer.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience.
- Strong hands-on AWS experience across networking, edge, and compute, including technologies such as VPC, CloudFront, API Gateway, and EKS.
- Solid Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or OpenTofu, plus familiarity with GitOps.
- Ability to balance operational work, automation, cross-team requests, and new platform design while maintaining a production mindset.
- Clear English communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with FedRAMP or FIPS environments, internal developer platforms, or cell-based and multi-region architectures is preferred.
