Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve secure, scalable OutSystems applications and integrations using APIs and SFTP.
- Translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions and contribute to architecture, technical design, and code reviews.
- Operate OutSystems environments across development, testing, and production, including deployments, upgrades, migrations, and environment management.
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, timer, integration, database, infrastructure, and platform issues using logs, metrics, and monitoring data.
- Advance CI/CD, automated testing, observability, operational automation, platform governance, documentation, and engineering standards.
- Design and maintain AWS/GCC-hosted services and support IIS, Windows Server, SQL Server, networking, security, backup, patching, and disaster recovery activities.
- Support production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
- Implement or integrate AI capabilities as expected in the role.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience developing and maintaining applications with the OutSystems platform, including knowledge of OutSystems architecture, LifeTime, Service Center, deployments, and best practices.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience with modern application architecture and design.
- Working knowledge of C# and .NET, including backend services and APIs.
- Proficiency with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience covering data modeling, complex queries, performance optimization, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, or other API technologies and with AWS, GCC, or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Working knowledge of IIS, Windows Server, networking, security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with Git, automated testing, monitoring, logging, observability, and production incident management; Infrastructure as Code familiarity is advantageous.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, audit logging, secure software development, and compliance in regulated environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot across application, database, integration, and infrastructure layers and independently drive issues to resolution.
- Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving, prioritization, communication, collaboration, continuous learning, and engineering improvement skills.
