Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, integrate, test, and maintain software for an assigned ICAM workstream.
  • Build application components with Java, Spring, Hibernate, Angular, and MySQL.
  • Commit code to the enterprise repository and participate in branching, peer review, merging, and release management.
  • Develop and maintain unit and automated test coverage and resolve defects with test engineers.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline execution and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, configuration, data, and performance issues.
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 incident support for assigned applications.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis, corrective actions, after-action activities, and release-readiness validation.
  • Write and maintain user stories, technical documentation, system-design materials, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Hands-on software development experience using Java, Spring or Spring Boot, Hibernate or comparable Java persistence frameworks, Angular or comparable modern JavaScript frameworks, and relational databases such as MySQL.
  • Experience with Git-based source control, regular code commits, unit or automated testing, Agile development, and CI/CD software delivery.
  • Ability to troubleshoot application and integration issues in production and non-production environments and provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 technical support.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain favorable DHS EOD, suitability, and required system access.
  • Preferred qualifications include DHS or federal civilian software engineering experience; ICAM, IAM, SSO, OAuth/OIDC, PKI, PAM, account-management, or access-control application experience; and experience with GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins, SonarQube, Selenium, Nexus, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Preferred experience includes AWS, Azure, Docker, EKS, hybrid-cloud environments, zero-downtime deployments, stateless microservices, production DevOps support, Section 508-compliant applications, and remediation of static or dynamic security findings.
