Responsibilities
- Analyze existing automated deployment standards, processes, and governance and implement improvements.
- Evaluate and prepare software deployments, including tools, connectivity, access, dependencies, and released packages.
- Automate deployment of manufacturing applications in Kubernetes environments with associated services and databases.
- Deploy manufacturing applications to Quality and Production environments while protecting manufacturing business processes.
- Apply DevOps and GitOps practices to automate and improve release processes, templates, and pipelines.
- Own end-to-end application deployment, release readiness validation, deployment governance, production stability, and business continuity.
- Create documentation, support instructions, and handover materials and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with globally distributed teams in Germany, India, Vietnam, and other locations.
Requirements
- BE, B.Tech, M.Tech, or MCA degree.
- At least 3 years of relevant hands-on DevOps experience or experience deploying and operating Kubernetes environments for medium- to large-scale enterprise platforms, databases, and application systems.
- Experience with software development lifecycle activities including development, packaging, release, and deployment for containerized or non-containerized applications.
- Experience with REST and gRPC APIs, distributed systems, databases, and enterprise-level systems such as ERP.
- Familiarity with DevOps and GitOps practices, automated rollout processes, and Kubernetes deployment strategies including Blue-Green, Canary, and A/B deployments.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or Go.
- Familiarity with MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
- Ability to create comprehensive documentation, facilitate knowledge transfer, and solve problems in complex enterprise environments.
- Understanding of Agile, high availability, resiliency, scalability, ITIL, operational requirements, and support.
