Base Salary
$250k - $500k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set and own the technical direction and architectural decisions for Android.
- Build and own Android features spanning payments flows, real-time market data, and core UI from design handoff through production.
- Develop polished and performant interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and Gradle configuration while improving build speed and release reliability.
- Build and maintain WebSockets, gRPC, and streaming-data integrations for live market features.
- Provide technical leadership across a distributed team through clear communication, code reviews, and strong engineering standards.
- Incorporate AI tools into the development workflow.
- Identify and address Android architecture and engineering-practice gaps before they affect scale.
Requirements
- Significant Android engineering experience with a record of owning and shaping Android platforms at scale.
- Strong current expertise in Kotlin and the ability to make confident architectural decisions.
- Deep production UI experience with Jetpack Compose, including performance and polish.
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and Gradle build configuration end to end.
- Strong understanding of modern Android architecture and how to evolve it as products scale.
- Track record of technical leadership and influencing engineering practices.
- Active, substantial use of AI tools in the development workflow.
- Experience integrating payments on Android is a plus.
- Experience with WebSockets, gRPC, or other real-time mobile data patterns is a plus.
- Familiarity with cross-platform shared-code architectures is a plus.
- iOS or Swift experience is a plus.
- Experience in a larger, mature engineering organization is a plus.
