Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage Mastercard’s Azure infrastructure through code and automation.
  • Develop, deploy, operate, and refine Azure platform services and capabilities.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable platform solutions and software systems on Azure.
  • Automate software deployment, configuration, routine tasks, and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
  • Improve system reliability and velocity through sustainable scaling, incident response, and blameless postmortems.
  • Establish and maintain Azure cloud best practices and standards.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, debug and optimize code, and assist with application deployment, scaling, and performance tuning.
  • Contribute to architecture, design, process, and development discussions.
  • Follow information security policies, protect confidential information, report suspected breaches, and complete required security training.

Requirements

  • Experience in computer science or software engineering.
  • Experience provisioning Azure infrastructure with Terraform.
  • Programming experience in at least one of Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
  • Experience with DevOps tools such as ADO, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, or SonarQube.
  • Understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
  • Experience with software deployment and configuration automation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field involving programming.
  • Expertise designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems.
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, automate routine tasks, and solve problems systematically.
  • Understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Effective communication skills and a strong sense of drive.
