Responsibilities
- Build, clean, transform, and load data pipelines using databases, data lakes, Hive, HDFS, and Oracle sources.
- Develop automated tests and validation frameworks for ETL jobs, data pipelines, BI reports, and analytics systems.
- Create reusable frameworks, libraries, templates, utilities, and integrated portals to accelerate testing automation.
- Perform regression, integration, sanity, UI, API, mobile, ETL, and BI report testing, including automated suite reporting and issue resolution.
- Use AWS services and Airflow for data ingestion, event-driven processing, orchestration, and cloud-native development.
- Support CI/CD-based, on-demand test execution and maintain automation repositories and project documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, review peer check-ins, troubleshoot utilities, and support their transition to testers.
- Drive automation initiatives toward 90% automation across the Data and ETL testing space.
- Support automated test-data generation, test-data sufficiency, and production rollout testing for data and analytics products.
- Collaborate across geographically distributed teams, mentor team members, and manage multiple projects and priorities.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in automation testing, including UI automation.
- Experience with ETL automation testing and SQL-based testing.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, BDD, Cucumber, Java, and Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks and automating BI reports such as Tableau dashboards and views.
- Experience using Python, Pandas, and NumPy for data-analysis utilities.
- Knowledge of AI/ML-related solutions that can support faster automation.
- Experience with Oracle SQL, HiveQL, ETL/data testing, relational database data flows, and big-data systems.
- Proficiency with the Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, and YARN.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and AWS services including S3, Lambda, EKS, and Airflow.
- Exposure to mobile testing with Perfecto and API testing with SoapUI, Postman, or Rest Assured is advantageous.
- Experience or understanding of data analytics and BI reporting in the financial services industry is preferred.
- Experience with wealth management, private banking, lending services, and related technology applications is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in groups, lead or mentor geographically distributed teams, and work in an Agile environment.
- Bachelor’s/university degree or equivalent experience.
