Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of projects critical to the YouTube Studio roadmap.
- Write and test product or system development code for complex, multi-faceted client-side components and frameworks.
- Implement a significant portion of team designs while modeling code that is testable, readable, and resilient.
- Conduct deep technical code reviews across the Studio codebase.
- Enforce high technical standards for scalability, maintainability, and testing coverage.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for Product, UX, and TPM partners and translate requirements into technical workplans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages.
- At least 3 years of full-stack development experience across back-end and front-end codebases.
- At least 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
- At least 1 year of experience in software design and architecture.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Preferred: experience developing accessible technologies.
