Base Salary
$209k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust, scalable backend systems supporting machine learning operations and data-processing pipelines.
- Develop and deploy ML-powered tools and production-grade AI applications for complex client needs.
- Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure for efficient ML model deployment and operation.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to integrate advanced ML technologies across platforms.
- Work embedded with client teams on use-case discovery, product development, and AI deployment.
- Support Forward Deployed Engineering workflows, model scaling, platform performance, and client-facing deployments.
- Participate in research and development of tools that improve AI capabilities and workflows.
- Independently investigate complex problems and improve system capabilities and performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience focused on ML engineering and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Extensive full-stack development experience, particularly with backend environments supporting AI/ML workloads.
- Prior direct client experience in use-case discovery, product development, and leading client engagements.
- Strong Python proficiency and deep expertise in LLMs, AI agents, and ML model development.
- Experience designing and deploying scalable ML systems, including RAG pipelines and production-grade AI applications.
- Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, and operational best practices for ML workloads.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and other container management tools.
- Ability to write well-structured code and automated unit and end-to-end tests.
- Experience with polyglot persistence models, including SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience with MLOps frameworks and model versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to work independently in unstructured environments and collaborate with data scientists, researchers, and software engineers.
- Excellent communication skills for dynamic, cross-functional collaboration.
