Base Salary
$85k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop low-latency, highly available services supporting internal engineers and millions of Ford customers.
- Build and deliver full-stack capabilities for Ford’s global vehicle software release, deployment, and over-the-air update systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement technical initiatives and deliver code against technical strategy and roadmaps.
- Own code quality through code reviews, testing, application design, and collaborative solution development.
- Drive projects to successful completion using project management practices, processes, and tools.
- Adapt to rapidly changing, technically complex, and regulatory-constrained environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience and education.
- At least 3 years of full-stack engineering experience using object-oriented languages such as Java, Spring Framework, C++, or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience developing queue-based interfaces and APIs.
- At least 3 years of experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Go, and Python.
- At least 3 years of experience with relational or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL queries.
- At least 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure, or AWS.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing frontend interfaces with frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, Docker, Kubernetes, distributed microservices, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Open Application Model, infrastructure as code, SaaS development, and web security best practices.
- Strong collaboration, communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and systemic problem-solving skills are preferred.
