Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy for inner-loop security across R&D and make architecture and trade-off decisions.
- Design and build base image pipelines, registry policies, GitHub automation, IaC modules, and security tooling.
- Manage hardened image provenance, lifecycle automation, registry governance, and governed promotion paths.
- Own GitHub organization policies, access and DLP controls, repository standards, and compliance automation.
- Integrate and tune SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets detection into developer workflows and produce deployment provenance evidence.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives, architecture and design reviews, and organization-wide engineering standards.
- Mentor engineers at every level and apply AI and agents to release and security engineering workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience owning security for a source-to-build platform covering repositories, images, registries, and developer tooling at large organizational scale.
- Deep experience in software supply chain security, hardened images, registry governance, provenance, SDLC security gating, secrets management, and source control governance.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub organization-scale policies, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security or equivalent, and API-driven automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, container tooling, Azure and/or AWS, CI/CD at scale, Terraform, Python, and/or .NET.
- Working knowledge of SOC 2 Type 2 and FedRAMP Moderate controls as applied to source control and build integrity.
- Track record of cross-team technical leadership and mentoring without formal management authority.
- Willingness to work across time zones with meaningful overlap with European teams, plus fluency in written and spoken English and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with hardened base image distributions such as Chainguard, SLSA, Sigstore, or SBOM tooling in production is preferred.
- Experience building agentic systems or AI agents for developer workflows and experience in platform engineering or developer experience are preferred.
