Responsibilities
- Own a major area of the platform, such as billing or usage tracking.
- Build and evolve core systems, designing APIs and services.
- Make architectural decisions regarding system boundaries and data models.
- Drive projects from initial concept to production scale.
- Lead technical execution and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Improve system reliability and visibility for production readiness.
- Partner with product and design teams to enhance developer workflows.
Requirements
- Proven track record of ownership in delivering complex systems end-to-end.
- Strong technical depth in backend systems, including APIs and data modeling.
- Full-stack capability with comfort in both frontend and backend development.
- Strong technical judgment for making architectural decisions.
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous situations.
- High standards for quality, focusing on correctness and maintainability.
- Experience in mentoring and influencing team members.
- Bias for action and ability to work in fast-moving environments.
- Typically 8+ years of industry experience in production systems.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
