Base Salary
$176k - $242k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and own core merchant platform services and data models for stores, facilities, brands, and entitlement-driven configuration.
- Design reliable onboarding services that take restaurants from signup to serving orders without manual intervention.
- Build backend signup, activation, and conversion flows for self-serve merchant growth.
- Design offboarding and lifecycle cleanup systems that shut down merchant services cleanly.
- Own services end-to-end, including design, implementation, instrumentation, debugging, reliability, and performance improvements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Java or Go for production backend services.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and API design using gRPC and/or REST.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or CockroachDB and writing performant queries.
- Experience designing data models and core domain objects used by other teams.
- Experience operating services in production and working collaboratively with a product-minded approach.
- Preferred experience includes Temporal or Cadence, Kafka, authentication and authorization systems, API modernization, marketplace or merchant platforms, subscriptions or billing, Azure, AWS, GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
