Responsibilities
- Own the conception and technical solution design of Investments IT platforms.
- Guide software delivery teams in designing, building, testing, and delivering high-quality solutions.
- Define technical architectures on Google Cloud Platform and IBM z/OS legacy platforms.
- Design front ends, business logic, services, data persistence, and interfaces to other domains.
- Create and maintain solution proposals, design decisions, and technical design documentation.
- Use UML, ArchiMate, and BPMN tools for architecture and design documentation.
- Review software designs and high-level and detailed-level technical documentation.
- Advise designers and developers on architecture and design decisions.
- Support integration patterns and migration initiatives toward GCP-native solutions.
- Apply AI tools to improve productivity and workflows while using responsible and ethical judgment.
Requirements
- At least 14 years of experience as a Solution Architect and/or Development Lead.
- Preferred Google Cloud Platform or AWS cloud architect experience and certification.
- Strong technical knowledge of APIs, Java, Spring Boot, cloud technology, Docker, Kubernetes, and security such as OAuth.
- Experience with databases, preferably PostgreSQL and Oracle, including data modeling and database housekeeping.
- Ability to work across heterogeneous technology landscapes and support integration and migration projects.
- Strong analytical skills and experience defining high-level and low-level technical designs for complex initiatives.
- Ability to balance business requirements and IT capabilities through standardization, risk reduction, and increased flexibility.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required; German is an advantage but not required.
- Ability to learn new technologies and solutions effectively and apply critical judgment when using data and AI outputs.
