Base Salary

$121k - $182k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable applications for margin calculation services and reporting.
  • Analyze complex technical and business challenges and recommend programming solutions.
  • Monitor and guide software development lifecycle phases from analysis and design through construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Provide user and operational support for applications used by business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions with project managers, stakeholders, and senior managers.
  • Evaluate system designs, recommend security measures, and conduct post-implementation analysis.
  • Assess and manage technical risks while supporting regulatory compliance and transparent control reporting.
  • Improve application performance through parallel processing and multithreading.
  • Operate independently, manage critical initiatives, and deliver projects across multiple deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
  • Strong Java application development experience, including Java core, collections, concurrency, and streams.
  • Experience with Spring, Hibernate, Jackson, JAX-RS, JPA, and JAXB.
  • Experience with distributed systems, RESTful API development and integration, SQL, Linux environments, job scheduling, deployment frameworks, and source control.
  • Experience with TDD, JUnit, Mockito or other mocking frameworks, performance enhancement, parallel processing, multithreading, locking, and synchronization.
  • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, JMS, and agile project management practices.
  • Experience with application design patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams, manage changing priorities, communicate clearly, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience or interest in financial services is preferred; Apache GemFire experience is a plus.
