Responsibilities
- Build code-analysis tools that identify vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance.
- Integrate automated security scanning into GitHub Workflows and CI/CD processes.
- Design threat-detection tools using ELK and Grafana to correlate signals and identify active threats.
- Build or deploy AI-powered AWS perimeter-monitoring tools with automated or semi-automated response capabilities.
- Own security tooling from prototype through production, including monitoring reliability and false-positive rates.
- Partner with engineering teams to explain findings and improve tooling based on feedback.
- Translate security findings into clear, concrete remediation steps.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, including IAM, VPC, networking, security groups, and common compute and storage services.
- Experience with GitHub Workflows or GitHub Actions and CI/CD-integrated tooling.
- Practical experience using AI/LLM tools for code review, log analysis, anomaly detection, classification, or similar automation.
- Understanding of OWASP Top 10, cloud misconfigurations, supply chain risks, and common application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
- Experience with ELK and Grafana, including dashboards, alerts, or custom data pipelines.
- Production-quality software engineering skills in Python, Go, or a similar language.
- Ability to communicate security findings and remediation steps clearly.
- Preferred: offensive security experience such as penetration testing, red teaming, or exploit development.
- Preferred: experience with SIEM/SOAR platforms and automated response playbooks.
- Preferred: OSCP, GCIH, AWS Security Specialty, or similar certification.
- Preferred: security-review experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Preferred: familiarity with container and Kubernetes security.
