Base Salary
$171k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with senior business stakeholders to frame problems, define success metrics, and align AI/ML roadmaps with business priorities.
- Lead architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery of enterprise AI/ML solutions for Wholesale Payments Operations.
- Write production-quality code and establish engineering standards, reviews, and delivery practices.
- Deploy and operate AI/ML services on AWS at scale.
- Build solutions using data mining, text mining, document analysis, classification, OCR, NLP, computer vision, and LLM workflows.
- Design scalable and secure data pipelines supporting model training and inference.
- Define and enforce MLOps, model governance, monitoring, reproducibility, and responsible AI practices.
- Evaluate production model performance and manage model drift.
- Mentor engineers and support code reviews, design reviews, recruiting, and talent development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience delivering production systems.
- At least 4 years of advanced Python development in production environments.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying production machine learning systems on AWS.
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI/ML solutions with measurable business outcomes at scale.
- Experience with object-oriented design, distributed systems, and performance engineering.
- Experience building and deploying LLM-based applications, including retrieval-augmented generation and fine-tuning workflows.
- Production experience with NLP, computer vision, OCR, or document AI solutions.
- Experience implementing MLOps practices with tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, feature stores, or model registries.
- Experience mentoring engineers and driving execution against multi-quarter roadmaps.
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate business needs into technical deliverables for senior stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in wholesale payments, transaction banking, financial services, model risk management, model governance, responsible AI, Kubernetes, Terraform, real-time or streaming inference, open-source ML ecosystems, or peer-reviewed publications.
