Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable, high-performance camera applications for Amazon devices including Amazon Echo and Fire TV.
- Lead software design, development standards, team processes, and code reviews.
- Optimize software libraries for low latency and reduced CPU and memory usage.
- Deliver software through development, testing, and operational processes in a team environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver customer-facing camera products and features.
- Contribute to colleagues’ professional development and improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 3 years of programming experience with a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
