Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and knowledge-transfer materials based on requirements and analysis.
- Design, implement, test, maintain, support, and enhance software systems and applications.
- Lead architecture, design, implementation, code reviews, and technical direction for scalable web services and SaaS products.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard procedures, and maintaining existing codebases.
- Mentor less experienced developers and lead project work while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Investigate new technologies and contribute to cloud, DevOps, AI modernization, automation, and engineering-toolchain initiatives.
- Assist customer support with technical issues and questions.
- Translate AI and LLM innovation into business and productivity impact.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in Java Full Stack Development or Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 10 years of experience developing software for large business environments and mission-critical, low-latency solutions.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, shell scripting, software security tools, and best practices is preferred or advantageous.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
