Responsibilities
- Design, code, document, release, and maintain high-quality web software.
- Develop web application code across the stack with strong unit and integration test coverage.
- Use AI agents to write and validate modular code with observability, reviewing AI-generated output to the team’s quality standards.
- Research existing design patterns and implement defined features and issues with limited guidance.
- Spend approximately 80–90% of the role on hands-on coding and contribute through code reviews.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and improve system maintainability.
- Resolve defects during QA, pre-production, production, and post-release patching.
- Collaborate with product management, QA/QE, product lines, business units, and other team members to deliver commitments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience developing web or software applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with at least one object-oriented language such as Java/J2EE, C#, VB.NET, Python, or C++.
- Solid understanding and practical application of software engineering fundamentals.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding of web services such as REST or GraphQL, with experience preferred.
- Understanding of unit testing and Test-Driven Development.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, communicate clearly, and demonstrate a self-starter attitude.
