Responsibilities
- Build models for object detection, recognition, classification, and tracking.
- Optimize computer vision models for real-time throughput and latency constraints on target hardware.
- Research, replicate, and adapt state-of-the-art detection, tracking, and classification architectures.
- Run multi-GPU and multi-node training jobs on large-scale sensor datasets.
- Design rigorous experiments and benchmarks to evaluate and improve real-world model performance.
- Collaborate with research, engineering, product, and downstream deployment teams to identify perception bottlenecks and shape capability roadmaps.
- Deploy AI software to production, including testing, quality assurance, and monitoring.
Requirements
- MSc in computer science, machine learning, robotics, or a closely related field.
- Experience designing, implementing, and thoroughly evaluating advanced AI-based systems.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying computer vision models beyond benchmark settings and under real-world deployment constraints.
- Deep familiarity with convolutional and transformer-based visual perception architectures.
- Practical experience with techniques such as multi-task learning, domain adaptation, or model compression.
- Solid software engineering skills and ability to write clean, well-structured Python code.
- Excellent communication skills for clearly reporting and presenting research findings.
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD and top-tier publications, experience with object detection, classification, tracking, scene understanding, edge AI systems, simulators, emulators, synthetic data pipelines, Rust, or C++.
