Responsibilities
- Design and own infrastructure from initial architecture through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
- Make independent technology and architectural decisions based on project needs, business discussions, and engineering standards.
- Automate cloud-native environments using Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, CI/CD, and GitOps practices.
- Manage containerized and orchestrated applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor and improve production system performance, reliability, security, and observability.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in production environments.
- Collaborate with and share knowledge across an experienced DevOps team.
- Potentially develop toward a DevOps Team Leader role.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Practical experience managing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
- Experience with containerization and application orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge of Linux and environment administration and automation.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of GitOps solutions, particularly Flux.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and CloudWatch or equivalent solutions.
- Ability to diagnose production issues and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Willingness to share knowledge and develop toward a DevOps Team Leader role.
