Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture and design of AI systems.
- Collaborate across the full stack to deliver product features.
- Build efficient data pipelines for large-scale unstructured data.
- Deploy and manage software in cloud environments.
- Improve backend scalability, stability, and efficiency.
- Develop reusable components and well-structured API layers.
- Write clean, maintainable code with sensible test coverage.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of full-time professional engineering experience; internship-only or working-student-only experience does not qualify.
- Strong proficiency building end-to-end web applications with Next.js and React on the frontend and Python on the backend.
- Backend-capable full-stack experience with scalable API and reusable backend structure design.
- Experience building data pipelines for large-scale unstructured data.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and relational data modeling.
- Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience for containerization and deployment.
- Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Practical experience with ML/NLP technologies, including embeddings, vector databases, and RLHF; production deployments are preferred.
- Production experience with ML model serving and inference pipelines is a plus.
- A product-minded approach and demonstrable history of shipping complex applications.
- Ability to clearly explain past engineering decisions and accomplishments.
Benefits
- Salary range of 80,000 to 130,000 EUR annually, depending on experience.
- On-site work in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, on a full-time basis; limited hybrid arrangements are not available.
