Responsibilities

  • Lead technical design and build scalable integrations, connector automations, custom exports, AlayaFlow flows, and other customer-boundary solutions.
  • Spend at least 30% of the role coding and own integrations and file-based interfaces end to end.
  • Mentor developers across multiple teams through code reviews, technical mentoring, coaching, role-modeling, and knowledge-sharing.
  • Join high-priority cross-cutting projects to provide technical direction, unblock delivery, and improve team capability.
  • Productize recurring customer-specific work through standards, tooling, automation, and reusable system flows.
  • Ensure the accuracy and auditability of owned data flows and establish severity and response expectations based on customer impact.
  • Represent Engineering in customer technical discovery, design walkthroughs, and escalations.
  • Adopt and promote AI engineering tooling, including agentic pipelines, specification-to-blueprint generation, and generated documentation.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions and communicate technical ideas to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Feed field patterns, frequency, and cost data back to Product and Solution Architecture to support productization decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer engineering or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
  • Experience with Python, React or Vue.js, SQL, and AWS.
  • Experience owning integration, data export, or workflow automation work involving third-party APIs, file-based interfaces, and customer-specific data mappings.
  • Track record of automating repeatable engineering work and adopting AI engineering tools such as agentic pipelines and code or documentation generation.
  • Expert knowledge of contemporary technology, performance, software development tooling, and software development practices.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills for technical, non-technical, and customer-facing audiences.
  • Experience making difficult technical decisions in ambiguous customer-facing situations.
  • Commercial literacy related to services margin, billable utilization, and cost-to-serve.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with payroll, billing, or other financially sensitive data flows is an asset.
  • Bilingual French and English is an asset.
