Base Salary
$181k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain fundraising technology that supports donors, fundraisers, donation recording, and the transfer of gifts to recipients.
- Develop and maintain website functionality and integration plumbing across legacy and current systems.
- Define work, implement solutions, test and launch changes, fix bugs, and independently drive progress.
- Collaborate directly with fundraising teams and other non-engineers on messy, changing, and poorly defined tasks.
- Provide on-call coverage during peak donation periods, including incident ownership, communication, and debugging.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of engineering experience.
- Experience or genuine willingness to work with Laravel, PHP, plain JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Salesforce, WordPress, SQL, and CSV files; experience with every technology is not required.
- Ability to work autonomously across requirements definition, development, testing, launches, and maintenance.
- Comfort working directly with non-engineers on ambiguous and rapidly changing tasks.
- Ability to work remotely with at least three hours of overlap between East Africa Time and US Eastern Time.
- Right to work in an eligible hiring country, fluency in English, and willingness to travel to meet colleagues a few weeks per year.
- Comfort being on call during Giving Tuesday and the final weeks of the year and owning incidents when other engineers may be unavailable.
