Responsibilities
- Build and ship LLM-backed agents with tool use, MCP servers, retrieval, specialist-agent orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Choose between cloud-hosted and locally hosted models based on client data, security, and deployment constraints.
- Turn ambiguous client problems into scoped proofs of concept and maintainable production systems.
- Work directly with client engineers, stakeholders, and senior decision-makers, communicating design choices to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Use AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering and assess where they improve or hinder delivery.
- Build reusable accelerators and contribute to shaping the company’s AI practice.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience building cloud-hosted or locally hosted AI agents that use LLMs, with the ability to discuss implementation decisions and failures in detail.
- Fluent day-to-day use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including version control, testing, code review, CI/CD, and maintainable code practices.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills for client-facing documentation and technical discussions.
- Ability to work independently, clarify requirements early, and make progress with minimal supervision.
- Genuine interest in agentic AI demonstrated through reading, building, or contributing beyond assigned employment duties.
- Preferred: Claude Certified Architect Foundations or Professional certification, or an equivalent vendor credential.
- Preferred: financial services, market data, regulated or data-intensive domain experience; MCP server development; time-series or analytical database experience with kdb+/KDB-X, ClickHouse, or Oracle; Python, Java, and TypeScript; and model deployment on-premise or in locked-down cloud environments.
